Project overview.

Palette is an early-stage travel planning platform designed to help people capture, organize, and act on travel inspiration in a more connected and intuitive way. As part of the founding product team, I owned core experience design, shaping flows that support how users discover, save, and engage with travel ideas.

This work strengthened my ability to operate within evolving product environments, prioritize effectively, and collaborate cross-functionally to move ideas from concept to reality.

Partnering closely with the CEO, tech lead, developers, and marketers, I translated evolving product insights into a functional experience now preparing for closed beta launch.

Owned the design of core user flows now live within the product.
Established the visual foundation, including brand identity and logo, to create early cohesion.
Simplified navigation to reduce cognitive load, prioritizing a mobile-friendly structure.
Accelerated iteration through system-based workflows and modern prototyping approaches.
Collaborated with product leadership to shape experience decisions as the platform evolved toward beta.
Partnered with developers to translate concepts into build-ready experiences.
Drove ongoing iteration as priorities emerged.
Represented the product externally, supporting early awareness and storytelling.

Challenge.

Designing for an early-stage product meant working with requirements that continuously evolved as new research emerged and team needs shifted. The challenge went beyond individual screens — it required translating complex ideas into clear, usable experiences while maintaining flexibility for ongoing iteration.

As the product matured, I focused on bringing cohesion across flows and supporting thoughtful design decisions that balanced immediate needs with longer-term product direction.

Result.

Palette is now a functional product preparing for beta release, with foundational experiences in place to support early users. My work helped transform evolving concepts into a platform, creating the structure needed for continued iteration and growth.

This experience strengthened my ability to design within ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to move a product from vision toward reality.
